01-006-HB In a c1950 photo taken just east of the Bellefield stables, Belle Baruch in denim overalls, observes a feral hog killed on the plantation. Descended from hogs, these feral hogs were pursued diligently by all land owners because of their destruction of native animals, plants and trees. Belle hunted hogs up until her death in 1964.
